Denis Jones is the associate choreographer of Legally Blonde, and assists with casting all of the replacements for the current National Tour. He has worked with Jerry Mitchell for many years, and currently choreographs all over the country. Denis has seen many very talented dancers not present themselves as well as they could in auditions and is looking forward to offering feedback he rarely gets to give in a normal audition setting. Using material from Legally Blonde and another upcoming project, Denis will emphasize the importance of being versatile and provide you with tips on how to adapt to different styles. Being a multifaceted performer makes you more employable dancer, so take this opportunity to learn from Denis' experience and expertise.

DENIS JONES (Choreographer) is the Associate Choreographer for the Broadway/National Tour productions of Legally Blonde. Recent projects as choreographer include High School Musical and Meet Me in St. Louis (Paper Mill Playhouse), She Loves Me (Huntington Theater/Williamstown Theater Festival, IRNE nomination for Best Choreography), The Boy Friend (Maltz Jupiter Theater, Carbonell Award for Best Choreography), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Cape Playhouse) and Everyone Loves a Winner (Westport Country Playhouse). Denis was also the Associate Choreographer to Jerry Mitchell for Broadway’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and recently appeared on MTV’s “Legally Blonde: The Search for the New Elle Woods”. Denis choreographed the Broadway concerts of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, On the Twentieth Century and A Wonderful Life as well as Charles Busch and Julie Halston Together on Broadway for the Actor’s Fund of America. Other credits include directing three National Corporate Theater Fund Galas honoring Chita Rivera, John Lithgow and Elaine Strich, choreographing the Julie Harris tribute for the Kennedy Center Honors (CBS), Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, You Might As Well Live (NYMTF), Broadway By The Year at Town Hall, True Colors at Lincoln Center starring Cyndi Lauper, the national tour of Legends starring Joan Collins and Linda Evans, national commercials for Staples and Glade and Rosie Live (NBC) creating numbers for Liza Minnelli and Jane Krakowski. Denis also directed and choreographed Life is a Cabaret, a Tribute to Kander and Ebb as well as Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner’s reunion concert, both at Town Hall.
