Seeking:CLUE Adapted by: Jonathan Lynn Rehearsals and Performances: Wednesday, May 9, 2018-Saturday, June 9 2018 Director: Hunter Foster Synopsis: The new stage adaptation of Clue, based on the popular 1985 film of the same name, which itself was inspired by the family board game, Clue is a murder mystery and comedy that takes place in a remote mansion. Six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party—their host is dead, and they are all suspects. Seeking: Wadsworth (30’s-40’s)—A traditional butler in every sense: uptight, formal and “by the book.” He is the driving force in the play—leading our cast throughout the house in search of the killer and the clues. Must be able to move well. Yvette (20’s)—A sexy French Maid. She appears innocent on the outside but this may just be a front for who she really is on the inside. Must move well. Colonel Mustard (40’s-50’s)—A puffy military man who is nothing but a pompouse blow-hard. He acts like he knows everything but in actuality knows very little. At times it seems like he’s in charge, but Mustard has a subtle way of making sure once the battle begins, he’s in the back of the line. The word dumb would be a compliment. Must move well Mrs. White (30’s-40’s)—A pale beautiful woman. Mrs. White says very little but when she does it always seems to be a confession of past crimes, which may or may not be the murder of her 5 ex-husbands. Suspicious of others. Always dressed in black. Must move well. Mrs. Peacock (40’s-60’s) The wife of the Senator from the great state of Tennessee. Buttoned up and uptight. She holds herself and others to the highest moral standing. Always ready to quote a bible verse. Her goal in life is to lift the American society out of the gutter. Southern accent. Must move well. Mr. Green (20’s-30’s)—A nervous, shy introvert. Unable to finish a sentence. A germophobe who carries a hanky with him to open doors and to greet people. He also carries around his own fork, spoon and knife for dinner. He is also quite clumsy, and has a deep fear of everything. Must move well. Professor Plum (20’s)—A young rich playboy who lives for nothing but booze and women. He seems, inexplicably, to always have a drink in his hand. Incredibly handsome, he always finds ways to look and admire himself whether it’s a mirror, a silver platter or a butter knife. He would feel right at home in an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel. Must move well. Miss Scarlet (30’s-40’s) A dry sardonic DC Madam who is more interested in secrets than sex. Pillow talk is her favorite position. If anyone in DC needs to know anything, Scarlet is their gal. She’s always ready with a joke or a quip, and is always one step ahead of everyone else in the house. Must move well. ACTOR #1 Male to play Mr. Boddy and Cop. (30’s-50’s) Mr. Boddy—An older distinguished gentleman with a cold and scary demeanor, and a dark checkered past. The COP—A “regular Joe.” Perhaps with a Chicago or Boston accent. When he enters “Boddy Manor,” he is incredibly suspicious of the proceedings. ACTOR #2 Female to play Mrs. Hochinsky, Motorist (as a Man) & Singing Telegram Girl (30’s-40’s) Mrs. Solyanka—The Russian cook who works for Mr. Boddy. She has a dark mysterious sensibility. The Motorist—A nervous man who stops by “Boddy Manor” to ask for help after his car breaks down. _______________ THE LOVE LIST By: Norm Foster Rehearsals and Performances: Tuesday, May 29, 2018-Saturday, June 30, 2018 Director: Lisa K.
