Seeking:Razor (Lead): Male, 20-49, baritone. A corporate lawyer, arrogant and boisterous, he believes that he ended up in the Shade unfairly, and plans to find a way out; a loudmouth; worked his way up the corporate ladder through shady dealings, and then let other people take the fall for the inevitable consequences. Shows no remorse when faced with the fact that his actions led to accidental deaths, including the death of a child. Not a great guy. Thing (Lead): Male, 16-29, tenor. A high-school student, lonely and troubled; a brilliant mathematician, he is bullied at school constantly for his social awkwardness and the fact that he is easily provoked; always thinking about the world and his place in it. When he has a falling-out with a girl at his school, he is driven to a blind rage and an unforgivable act of destruction. Sings in a rock style, everything from slower rock ballads to driving rock. Echo (Lead): Female, 25-49, alto/mezzo-soprano. An actress, with a calm and stable exterior that does not betray the emotional turmoil swirling underneath; she is typically seen as the "rock" that her friends can rely on. Struggles to gain recognition as a performer, feels a deep, constricting pain over the tragic loss of her son in a freak accident. Keeps secrets. Wisp (Lead): Female, 16-29, mezzo-soprano. A high-school student. A "girl-next-door," religious, deeply committed to her personal convictions; she has a strong desire to help those around her, kind hearted and struggling with self-doubt. Has an overwhelming urge to be "good," as defined by her parents and church leaders. Malmarod (Lead): Male, 39-60, bass/baritone. A Harpy, the leader of the group; tall, thin, and withered, the millennia of judging countless human lives are clearly starting to take their toll on him. Sings in Latin, strong movement skills required. Siesstra (Lead): Female, 20-35 African American, Ethnically Ambiguous / Mixed Race, African Descent, alto/mezzo. A Harpy, lithe, sensuous, and mischievous, she enjoys using trickery and seduction to get what she wants; enjoys judging humans for their crimes; serpentine and malicious, she is one of the most fearsome of the Harpies. Sings in Zulu, strong movement skills required. Brodu (Lead): Male, 20-40, baritone. A Harpy, tall and brooding; believes that justice is a necessary evil, something that must be accomplished in order to maintain order. Somewhat cynical and serene. An imposing presence. Sings in Georgian, strong movement skills required. Ariana (Lead): Female, 20-35, South Asian, Ethnically Ambiguous / Mixed Race, soprano. A Harpy, small and delicate; believes that justice is a way to restore peace to those who are suffering, but deep down, she is as hungry for power as the rest of the Harpies are; her pristine outer nature hides a far more insidious interior. Subtly malevolent. Sings in Hindi, strong movement skills required. Peryant (Lead): Male, 20-40, tenor. A Harpy, hulking and muscular, an animalistic terror; believes that humans must be judged harshly for their crimes, and punished to the maximum possible extent; filled with a rage for all those who aren’t him. The most terrifying and bestial of the Harpies. Sings in Greek, strong movement skills required.
