The seminar was incredibly helpful. Stephen Oremus' feedback was spot on, honest, and insightful. I not only learned while working on my personal material, but also by seeing him work with others. I was able to gain an invaluable perspective from behind the table. Thanks!

I thought the seminar was very professional, and it provided us with everything we needed to know before the audition. Instructions were clearly given, and the dance was taught at a very good pace.

The workshop with David Kent was fantastic. Fosse technique is so specific, and it's hard to find teachers who teach it as authentically as David. He is clear, detailed, gentle, and he genuinely wants to see everyone succeed. I would recommend his workshop to anyone looking to gain a greater understanding of the Fosse style for which "Chicago" is so well-known.

I recently attended your Chicago audition seminar, and LOVED it! Melissa Mahon was such a great teacher! There were lots of things she corrected us on that made me stop and think "Wow, I do that, I'm so glad I know to fix it now". Going into the audition I felt so prepared, able to relax and give it my best. Plus I was kept all the way through! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!

I thought that the seminar with Duncan Stewart and Jim Daly was the perfect way to connect with casting directors on a personal level. It was a great way to gain insight into what the 'people that matter' really think when we walk in the room for an audition. It was a highly informative seminar that has definitely altered the way I approach each audition and, more importantly, what I do afterwards!

It was such an amazing experience to be apart of the "How to Succeed" dance seminar. And connecting with Chris Bailey was awesome. The class itself was very instructive and helpful. Any seminar that I have participated in has been a great experience, instructive and a lot of fun to be apart of. So, I say keep it up!

I had an amazing time. I usually go to singer calls, so I was a little nervous going into the class; however, I loved the whole stress free feeling! I will definitely be taking more in the future! Thanks for the experience.

My experience at the Business of Dance Seminar was equal amounts enlightening and motivating. I will be recommended this workshop to my fellow dancers in the future. Lucille left a lovely and lasting impression on me. All of my questions were answered in depth, and I very much enjoyed the combo that was given. I most appreciated the extra info on head shot expectations and insight into the commercial dance world. I would love to be a part of MSA's roster some day. Thank you providing this very useful, efficient, and affordable workshop.

The overall experience was an opportunity in itself and I will never forget it! Andy was very clear on what he wanted to see from us and I also liked how he warmed us up. Very effective! I don't think that there was anything I didn't like about Andy. I also thought that Ryan, was very patient and understanding in so many ways! He and Andy were very supportive, too! (with me being younger than all the others, that meant a lot to me) Thank you soo much Andy, Ryan, and all the rest of the Stage Door Connections crew!

The partnering classes at Stage Door Connections are amazing and are one of a kind! Thank you! I've taken many classes through Stage Door Connections since moving to New York. SDC has consistently provided a wonderful learning environment while giving us exposure to exciting choreography and artists in the industry. I have absolutely grown as a dancer/actor from taking these classes, and I can't wait for the next one!" I took the Legally Blonde Workshop with Denis Jones and ended up doing a production of Hairspray with him at Cape Playhouse.

I took the seminar with Justin Huff on Wednesday evening. I didn't realize the impact of Justin's instruction until watching the videos of myself which I just received. With a couple of minor adjustments and more specific motivations added in...the difference between the first take of the song and the last is like night and day. I didn't realize how clearly specific thoughts could translate onto my face and into the storytelling of the piece. The class was a very valuable experience, and I hope to incorporate Justin's advice into everything that I sing from now on. Thanks!

I had a truly invaluable experience at the "Andy BlankenBuehler Theatre Dance Intensive." I feel as though I gained more insight into the art of storytelling through dance in my two days with Andy than I've received in my entire dance career. I consider myself a more skilled singer than dancer, and Andy's method of teaching made me realize that executing a dance should be approached the same way as a song: a detailed story must be told with personality and specific choices. Furthermore, I had a great time learning so many different styles of choreography, and learning from the other dancers. I appreciate the kindness and help I received from Andy and the rest of the faculty, and thank Stage Door Connections for a beneficial and inspiring weekend.

I absolutely loved this past weekend's intensive with Andy Blankenbuehler! He was incredible to get the chance to work with and learn from. I thought the length of the intensive was perfect...the 10-4 time was great and I loved having a full 6 hours each day rather than just a 2 hour master class because I felt like a lot more could get accomplished over the 2 full days.

I get so much out of the audition workshops with agents. I think it's a fantastic way to work closely with a casting agent and to make an audition situation "human". Justin made a grand effort in putting us as ease, and "de-mystifying" the audition experience. The pianist was fantastic as well! I've taken a lot of seminars at Stage Door Connections and have never been disappointed. I feel the seminars you present are always lead by people who deeply care for the craft and who deeply invested in making an artist even better.

I absolutely LOVE what you are doing and offering the performance community in terms of continued education, and I know that other performers do too, seeing as most of the master classes offered are packed! While last night's class with Joy Dewing and Brooke Wendle was much smaller than usual, I actually preferred it because it gave them the opportunity and time to see each of us and give individualized feedback as opposed to general statements; I think that is invaluable as a performer. Sometimes you think you're on the right track or you don't notice things you do and how they come across, so that special attention last night was amazing and much needed. Thank you, thank you! for all that you do to support our careers!

David Kent is calm, patient and thorough. I appreciated his attention to the little details of the Fosse style and I loved that he took the time to speak to and give constructive notes to just about everyone in the class. This is a great class - I actually wrote a little something that night after class! "For the most splendid Mr. Kent Thanks so much for time well spent - We appreciate your expertise, all the glad auditionees - Technique of Fosse, notes and style - A master class enjoyed by all The knowledge shared with all who seek, to do their utmost best next week." Once again - thank you for the Chicago Seminar - I'll be taking a closer look at more of the upcoming seminars!

The seminar with Alison and Randy was one of my favorites so far. My individual feedback from Alison reflected exactly the way I felt: from the first class to the last class my confidence transformed me from nervous/unsure/panicked to having fun and letting loose, really revealing my true personality - which she said they WANT to see in the casting room. As a bonus, because of the small classroom environment, I made some really fun friends! I would definitely recommend the seminar to anyone looking to work on their tap audition skills.

Chris Bailey was an awesome master teacher. He was patience, clear and insightful while giving us so much background information - about the steps, the rhythms, the story itself and what the production team is looking for. Plus he has a great sense of humor which made the class even more enjoyable. I can't wait to walk into the audition room next week.

: I have only the best of things to say about my experience at the How to Succeed Dance Audition Technique Seminar. It was really amazing to work with Chris Bailey so intensely and to learn so many details about How to Succeed. It was a wonderful second experience with Stage Door Connections. I recently completed The Dancer's Voice Seminar and had an incredible experience. I grew a lot as an actor and vocalist in a mere 6 weeks. I am now a second time fan of the work of Stage Door Connections and have already registered for a third audition seminar with Jaime Harris and Rachel Hoffman. I'm very excited for that as well. Thanks to everyone at Stage Door Connections for providing me with the opportunity to connect with these talented people in the biz and to grow and learn from them as I attempt to ignite my career.

I want to thank Stage Door Connections for putting together an absolutely amazing seminar! When, in one day, do you get to learn from Rob Ashford, Kathleen Marshall, and Christopher Gattelli? To have 3 of Broadway's most prestigious choreographers tell you what they are looking for is invaluable information that I will take to all my auditions! Working with incredible choreographers in a class setting only builds my confidence for when I audition for them. I will be attending many more seminars, and will recommend them to all my friends!

I am very satisfied with the Business of Dance Seminar. It offered a great deal of information for dancers and was comprehensive. The presenter, Lucille, was warm, inviting, and approachable. I loved Chris Bailey's class. I thought his knowledge of the material and the manner in which he taught was concise and thorough. Mr. Bailey was incredibly supportive yet challenging with specific critiques to help make us as dancers come alive. I loved the pace of the seminar. It was not too fast or too slow. I felt as though I grabbed onto the choreography with ease and was able to dig deeper into the characterization and storytelling. I also thought the room in Ailey was incredible. It was so big and gave us room to really dance the combination.

I had such an incredible time on Saturday at the NYTDI! It was sincerely the most worthwhile workshop I have ever attended as a professional dancer. The opportunity to be in the room with such notable and interesting choreographers was invaluable and enlightening; I feel like I will approach auditions from this point forward with a new energy, supported by the encouraging words of Rob, Kathleen and Chris. Beyond that, it was simply pure fun to dance such different and amazing work all in one day! Thank you for putting together such a wonderful event and for infusing the whole day with such positivity!!!

I liked the fact that everyone got to be seen by Jim Daly and Duncan Stewart and was given a full critique on our audition technique. Overall, I enjoyed hearing their stories of the business and feel that it was successful.

I really enjoyed the How to Succeed" seminar. I loved how Mr. Bailey immediately started teaching, instead of taking time of the class to warm up the dancers. It very much so felt like we were in an audition because he taught everything so quickly, but he also explained what the concepts of the choreography that Rob Ashford created, which I thought was very informative. At most auditions, a dancer is simply taught the choreography and you have to do it, but to get more insight into what it all means was great.

I love Stage Door Connections! Sometimes in an audition room I get panicked and brain-blocked and suddenly can't remember the combination. Because of this seminar, I felt less nervous around the person teaching the combination at the audition because we have already met in a low-key class type setting. I have taken several classes with Stage Door Connections, and I have found it to be nothing less than extremely helpful in a comfortable and warm environment.

I attended two SDC seminars that helped me book a job. I attended "42nd Street Seminar with Kelli Barclay" and booked the show in Reno, NV. The following year I returned to the production in Spokane, WA. But I never could have done as well as I did with my audition if I had not first taken "The Dancer's Voice". I am a dancer who had very little singing experience. I wasn't sure what to do in a singing audition. Taking The Dancer's Voice gave me the confidence that I knew what I was doing, that I had a song that suited my voice and I was confident that my sheet music was marked properly for the accompanist. Being confident in a singing audition was the best thing I ever did to invest in my career.

I had an AMAZING time at the Andy Blankenbuehler Intensive. Going into it, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew I'd be doing a lot of dancing. I left with such incredible knowledge about performance, and that was even more invaluable to me. I was so re-charged and so back in love with dance. And the best part?! I experienced this incredible, invaluable seminar with a prominent Broadway choreographer for the MOST reasonable price. Just amazing!!! I can not thank you ENOUGH for THAT. Holy cow.
